Become A DJ At Scrub Radio

Here at Scrub Radio we are always on the look out for people who are interested in DJing for us. If you are interested in giving it a shot, we will do our best to help you out. But because all of our DJs are volunteers, we don't always have staff available to help with setting up new DJs and walking people through the steps.

So we have put together these tutorials to help you help yourself become a DJ here at Scrub Radio!

Here is a basic overview of what it takes to become a DJ here:

1. You'll need a positive attitude and a love for Independent Music.
2. A reliable Internet connection with a fast enough upload speed is essential.
3. You'll need the right software for DJing. There are some free programs that can be used, as well as some great paid programs. A working Microphone is helpful too...
4. Finally, you'll need music! We have extensive databases of artists approved for air play, but you can also find music on your own. Just remember that all music played on Scrub Radio must be from Independent Artists who've given their specific permission for their music to be played here royalty free.

Other requirements include keeping up with the latest news and updates for the site/station and communicating with the other DJs and Admins when you have questions or can't make a scheduled show.

Another thing that is not required, but recommended, is that you have a computer with a Windows based Operating System. This is simply because very few DJs have ever had anything other than Windows based computers, and therefore we really only know Windows based software.

Also, dedication and self promotion are essential to having a successful show.
