Band's Influences
I only have two main influences in my music and that's other music and whatever life throws at you. I can rap about the normal things but prefer to tell stories that open people's eyes. I guess you could say I dazzle in the Horrorcore genre a bit but use this worlds own reality to 'shock' people rather then fantasy. As far as musical influences go, I listen to a wide variety of music. Anything could influence me to write. Who influence me the most would be artists like Atmosphere, Diabolic, Immortal Technique, Jedi Mind Tricks, Vinnie Paz, Eyedea, MadChild of Swollen Members, Insane Clown Posse and the rest of Psychopathic were HUGE influences when I was younger, Tech Nine, Block McCloud, R.A. the Rugged Man, Celph Titled, etc. Too many to list for big artists like that. What really influences and motivates me is watching and listening to people just like me who're trying to make it. GrewSum, Cryptic Wisdom, Gravity Wise Words, Hard Target, The Jokerr, Passionate MC, dudes like that get me going. Metal influences me too. Lamb of God, Mushroomhead, Slipknot, Skinless, Waking the Cadaver, Human Factors Lab, Manson, Cradle of Filth, Type O Negative, for starters. I'm a MUSIC fan. If life and music don't influence you then you're in the wrong business. :)
About The Band
I from Houlton Maine. A small hickish town, I guess you could say, located in Northern Maine. I started getting into hip hop/rap in '98. I had a copy of Outkasts' ATLiens and played that to death. It wasn't so much the lyrics on that album I enjoyed, it was the beats. Then in late '98 early '99 a friend of mine showed me Insane Clown Posse (ICP) on a cd his brother gave him. It was burned and had 10 songs on it and I was hooked. It was entertaining to me so for the next few years that's all I bumped. Anything Psychopathic I grabbed it. In 2000 I snagged Twiztid's album Freekshow and played that to death. It didn't work after I was done and it gave me the idea, this is what I wanna do and be serious about it. I tried writing lyrics in '99 but wanted to be serious in 2000. I wrote mainly horrorcore songs until I wrote a song about my ex girl and I realized I liked writing about real things. I recorded my first ep in 2004 on cassette tape. It was pure horrorcore and I showed it to no one, lol. It was so terrible. In 2005 I hooked up with my boy Cyanide and some local people, built a small studio and recorded a mixtape called Sky's the Limit. We thought the album was so dope we released it twice with a revised version. I took 5 years away from music cuz I went through some times. In 2010 I came back slowly. Did a couple tracks of my own, a few collabs and stuck with it. In 2011 I perfected my skill a little bit, hooked up with Cyanide and dropped two albums under the alias Chased by a Rapist. A self titled EP and R.A.P.E. (Revenge Against Past Experiences). The albums had a lot of DLs and I wanted to stick with horrorcore but I turned away from it. I went and started working hard on a mixtape and dropped it in Mid-Late 2011 called 'The Grimoire Vol: 1 :The Arrival' and it's still available for dl to this day. This year saw the drop of my official album on my label Verbal Assault Productions called 'The Reaper Strain'. I have tons of songs, collabs, and a EP mixtape dropping within this year. Watch me grow.
