About The Band
From some mysterious antenna planted in north San Diego County transmitted the sounds of Orchard Valley Killers. Before forming Black Oak Hymnal, Grafton Silos hunkered down with bassist Dixon Hodges in their own Studio Five Fifty-Eight, where they spent most of the past decade crafting their sound that embraced equal parts science fiction, spaghetti westerns, horror, and Southern California sunshine, smog, breezes, and traffic. In that time, they recorded several albums that were never made available to the public. This year they will begin releasing said albums, beginning with their instrumental classic The Burnt Over District.
