Well...... Joost The Vanished Dutchman is, as you might have guessed, from The Netherlands. You cannot pronounce his name easily. Maybe it' s best pronounced like this: Juiced? Well it's an anti- artist name lads and gents! He's a musician first, he started out as a drummer, before turning his hand to writing. After playing with a lot of bands, ending up fronting his own: Catch My Drift, singing his first songs. This funky. latin, energetic machine provided a lot of fire on stage. After 1995 he went solo... Now he' s mostly on his own, recording, arranging, playing and writing, but he loves to play with a band and give it all on stage. He describes himself as a "zelfbevlekkende, narcistische, selfkickende, obsessieve, uitknijpende liedjesmaker" which loosely translates (I think) as a "self-denigrating, narcissistic, self-flagellating squeezer-out of songs" as freely translated by Mr Freshnet Tom Robinson. His song Bomb Won´t Go Off featured on his BBC6 Radio show in november 2012. (and it fellt great). Stupid Song(s) landed on his Radio6 Mixtape in november of 2013. Various songs are now reguarly played on Croydon radio. (London). After 4 raving albumreviews by Nathan Nörgel in his online german culture magazine Wasser-Prawda, Nathan played two songs on his Radio 98eins program.
